. PHILLIP JACOBS

Welsh-born Phillip Jacobs is a Swansea-based painter. His work deals primarily with the landscape and seascapes of Wales. “The landscape of south Wales is an immensely inspirational area for me; from the Gower peninsula to the Brecon Beacons you can find incredible variation, each pocket of land with its own mythology, history and geology. The area seems to have all the elements that can fuel the imagination.”

He has an impressive training record which reads as follows: 1987 Foundation Studies - 1990 BA(Hons) Fine Art - 1994 HND Multi-disciplinary Computer Applications - 1999 MSc Multimedia (New Media Design) - 2003 PGCE/Cert Ed.

He has exhibited widely throughout Wales and has an exhibition at the Taliesin Gallery in Swansea, which has been running since September 2nd 2006 and finishes on the 30th September 2006.
