A drawing of the Mari Lwyd by Ceri Richards was intended as the cover for Vernon Watkins' latest poetry book in the early 1970s: "Cypress & Acacia". The illustration on the left is a facsimile of Ceri Richards' design, shown in POETRY WALES, Spring 1977, Vol.12 No.4, p.42.
