Artist's Statement: "When I was younger I always intuitively recognised the spirit of the place - in dwellings especially - "This is a happy place". "This is a sad place". I always felt that it was history, the people who had been there, that created this spirit. Currently, I'm living in a place where I've had a lot of problems - a bad neighbour, screaming and fighting geese, cum-backing guinea fowl - to name but a few. I find myself wondering whether its the History of the place or the present that's creating its spirit - I'm LEAVING".
